Banbury Christmas Tractor Run Celebrates 10 Years Supporting Katharine House Hospice

The much-loved Banbury Christmas Tractor Run marks its tenth year, raising over £100,000 for Katharine House Hospice.

For the tenth consecutive year, the Banbury Christmas Tractor Run has once again lit up local roads, lifted community spirits, and raised an incredible amount of money for Katharine House Hospice. What began as a small idea has grown into one of Oxfordshire’s most cherished festive traditions — and this year’s event was its most successful yet.

In 2025, the Tractor Run raised an outstanding £100,000, providing vital support for Katharine House Hospice and the families it serves. Alongside the fundraising success, the event brought joy to thousands of people across the local community, reinforcing the strong bond between farming families, businesses and residents.

Farmers from across the region pulled out all the stops, transforming their tractors into dazzling displays of Christmas lights and decorations. 100 tractors took part again this year, each sponsored generously by a local business. The sight of the brightly lit convoy has become a highlight of the festive season, drawing crowds of all ages.

The story of the Banbury Christmas Tractor Run began back in 2016, when Jennie Steenkamp from RC Baker Ltd at Spring Hill Farm in Barford St. Michael had a simple vision: to bring festive cheer to Oxfordshire’s farming community while raising funds for Katharine House Hospice. That first year, just 26 tractors took part, raising a little over £2,000 — a modest beginning for what would soon become an extraordinary community event.

Today, while the event is officially organised by Katharine House Hospice, Spring Hill Farm and RC Baker Ltd remain closely involved, continuing to support the event that started it all.

One of the most eagerly anticipated traditions of the Tractor Run is the Best Dressed Tractor competition. Each year, participants go to extraordinary lengths to outshine one another with creative, festive designs. The 2025 title was once again claimed by Toby Nunneley, who secured the win for an impressive third year in a row! Well done Toby!
