Spring Hill Farm is ideally located for those wishing to explore some of the Cotswolds' most talked-about attractions, including Jeremy Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm Shop, The Farmer's Dog Pub, and Hawkstone Brewery—all just a short drive away.
Diddly Squat Farm Shop
Many of our guests choose to stay with us specifically to visit Diddly Squat Farm Shop, which is only 10 miles from Spring Hill Farm (about a 20-minute drive). The shop has become a popular destination, known for its range of local and farm-produced goods. Among the highlights are fresh vegetables, meats, eggs, and milk. The "Cow Juice" (milk) is a must-try—sourced from local farmers Pete and Emma Ledbury and their Markbury Herd. If you've stayed in one of our Shepherd’s Huts, you’ve likely already enjoyed this deliciously fresh, pasteurised milk. The farm shop is also famous for its "Bee Juice" (honey) and "Hawkstone" beer, a lager brewed from barley grown on Jeremy’s farm. In addition, you’ll find novelty items such as T-shirts, caps, and Jeremy's books.
The Farmer's Dog Pub
Jeremy’s pub, The Farmer’s Dog, opened in August 2024 and is about 20 miles from Spring Hill Farm (roughly a 35-minute drive). The pub also serves as a restaurant, making it a great spot for a hearty meal. In the garden, you'll find a farm shop, a butcher, an off-licence, and a bar. There’s even an outpost where you can grab a fantastic meaty snack to enjoy on the lawns. The pub welcomes everyone—children, dogs, and of course, you!
Due to challenges with obtaining permission for a restaurant at the farm, Jeremy opened this pub with a focus on serving food sourced primarily from British farmers—a commitment we at Spring Hill Farm wholeheartedly support. The pub’s interior features an agricultural theme, including a vintage tractor suspended from a beam, adding a unique charm to your dining experience.
Hawkstone Brewery
Hawkstone Brewery is another great destination, about 20 miles from Spring Hill Farm (approximately a 30-minute drive). The brewery offers a bar where you can sample Hawkstone Lager and Cider, as well as tours that delve into the history of Hawkstone, the brewing process, and, of course, opportunities to taste the products. Be sure to check the brewery’s website for opening times and tour bookings.

The Farmer's Dog Pub is conveniently close to the charming town of Burford and the Cotswold Wildlife Park, while Diddly Squat Farm Shop is near the historic market town of Chipping Norton. Our stay at Spring Hill Farm was perfect. Our shepherds hut ‘Rosie’ was clean very cosy and the hot tub was amazing!!! Jennie gave us lots of advise and information about our stay and left us lovely breakfast bits for our arrival.
We booked as the farm was close to Jeremy Clarksons pub and farm shop. We had booked a table at The Farmers Dog and when we returned we got straight into the hot tub which was lovely and warm- PERFECT!
